Static apnea and freediving coaching
Coaching from the Canadian record holder.
I coach static privately, online, from your current onset time to your competition date. We build your plan together, you log every session, I read it every week, and we train your relationship with contractions as a skill, not a fight.

Online. Weekly. In your time zone.
Every step of it judged
The numbers, and where they came from.
My current competition best is 8:09, with a training best of 9:35. I swam for Canada at the World Championships in Wakayama in 2025 and Budapest in 2026. In February 2024 my competition best was 5:04. The progress since then did not come from pushing harder. It came from learning to hear what my body was saying at two minutes instead of fighting it at four.

What we work on
You do not need to fight harder at four minutes.
Contractions can offer useful information about effort, tension, and attention, but they are not a complete safety signal. We practise responding with awareness while keeping safety, recovery, and the limits of your training setup central to the plan.
- 01
Your plan
Built around your competition date, your current best and your contraction onset time, reviewed with you every week.
- 02
The log
A weekly private session plus messaging between sessions, with a shared training log I read and adjust.
- 03
The dive
Contraction work, breath up, surface protocol and a competition day plan. The start line, the judge, the number in your head, and waiting until the body says yes.
How it starts
Tell me your comp date and your current best.
The first conversation is free. Apply below, or email me directly if you were sent here by someone I have coached. I read every message myself. Most athletes begin with the Four Week Foundation for one competition, or the Twelve Week Integration for a season. Both include performance tracking, and we agree the plan and the investment in the conversation.
Safety first, always. Wet training only with a trained buddy or safety. I will not coach breath holds in water alone, and I will say so if a plan asks for more than your setup can hold.
